Clarets season ticket pledge

CLARETS chairman Barry Kilby feels Burnley can build a squad to reach the Premiership next season.

But the club need the help of their legions of supporters.

And if they earn promotion to the promised land, the club are to reward fans for their loyalty.

Although Kilby admits the top flight looks a long way away, as Steve Cotterill's side look to preserve their Championship status after a run of 15 league games without a win, he believes the club can be among the challengers next term, after spending three months in the top six in the first half of this campaign.

And fans who get behind the cause next season could find their backing very worthwhile.

Yesterday the club unveiled their 2007/08 season ticket package.

And although, in line with the current Premiership trend for reducing prices, Burnley are unable to cut the cost of football at Turf Moor – not being party to the lucrative new television deal for top-flight clubs – the club have unveiled a pioneering offer to watch Premiership football for free at Turf Moor, if the club is promoted at the end of the next Championship campaign.

Anyone who buys a season ticket before the start of the 2007/08 season will automatically qualify for a free season ticket, should the club achieve its ultimate aim of reaching the Premiership.
