FANS COMMENT: Fans chief says it's an excellent appointment - 01/06/05
MARK Wright has described Peterborough as a 'football city' and he's desperate to win Posh's missing fans back.
Wright said: "Posh obviously lost some fans last season when they weren't doing so well as the average crowd went down by about a thousand per game.
"Obviously we will now try and get them all back and I can promise the supporters that they will be seeing a team giving 100 per cent in every game.
"Peterborough is a football city and we will show the crowd that we are after exactly the same as them by scrapping for every minute of every game."
And Official Posh Supporters Club chairman Andy Jardine has welcomed the arrival of the club's new manager.
Jardine, who attended yesterday's press conference, said: "He said all the right things and I believe he will be an excellent appointment. I was especially encouraged by his attitude towards discipline as that's something the team lacked last season."
